the fabrics

We have carefully selected hand block printed cottons for the pieces you will find in store. bea fabrics have been prepared using the ancient and treasured art of block printing. The unique designs are achieved through the use of a hand carved block of wood which is dipped in dye and carefully pressed onto 100% cotton fabric. No two pieces of fabric will be identical and there may be imperfections in the print such as darker/lighter patches or slight markings. We think this adds to their charm and celebrates the uniqueness of each handmade item. 

These fabrics are end of roll, surplus stock fabrics which are otherwise wasted. Some prints we have been able to get in longer lengths, others we have just a little of. Due to this, once a fabric is sold, it is gone. All the more reason to purchase what you love when you see it. We are advocates for repurposing and do not believe in creating more waste. bea is a considered and sustainable brand. If you love bea fabrics and prints be sure to check back for when we introduce more prints. 

Treat your delicate soft cotton with care. You will find it is soft to touch, light weight and something you can move in with ease. Try not to over wash your bea loungewear, but when you do, wash at 30 degrees and make sure not dry clean or tumble dry. 

At bea we use end of roll, otherwise wasted fabric and give it new life. This means our items are limited, so be sure to purchase whilst stocks last! If we have sold our of the size or print you are looking for please let us know as we may be able to find a similar colour or style for you.
